Description
Metaldehyde is used as an effective poison against pests (snail and slugs). Such pests have been critizised in the past as they also kill natural enemies of snails and slugs, such as hedgehogs. Hedgegogs play an important role in food chains, consuming a wide variety of invertebrates and small vertebrates. Sample kindly provided by Lonza Ltd.
